A class action lawsuit has been filed against AT&T Mobility, LLC (“AT&T Mobility” or “AT&T” or “Defendant”) in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California (styled Patrick Hendricks v. AT&T Mobility, LLC, Class Action Case No. C11-00409), alleging, among other things, that AT&T’s bills systematically overstate the amount of data used on each data transaction involving an iPhone or iPad account and that AT&T bills for phantom data traffic when there is no actual data usage initiated by the customer, according to the AT&T Mobility iPhone & iPad data usage charge & billing class action lawsuit complaint.
The AT&T Mobility iPhone & iPad data usage charge and billing class action lawsuit complaint is reportedly brought on behalf of a putative class consisting of the following persons, unless otherwise excluded:
All persons in the United States and its territories with a usage-based data plan on an AT&T iPhone or iPad account for any time period from June 29, 2007 to date. (the “Class”)
