Heel Homeopathic Class Action Settlement Of Mason v. Heel Class Action Lawsuit

Heel, Inc. (“Heel” or “Defendant”) has reportedly agreed to a proposed settlement of a class action lawsuit against Heel in the United States District Court for the Southern District of California (styled as Mason v. Heel, Inc., Case No. Case No. 12-cv-3056-GPC-KSC), alleging, among other things, that Heel manufactured or distributed homeopathic products that were falsely or deceptively labeled, according to the Heel Homeopathic class action settlement notice.

Heel Homeopathic settlement class members reportedly include, unless otherwise excluded, all persons who purchased any homeopathic product manufactured or distributed by Heel for personal or household use that were labeled as homeopathic between December 21, 2008 and February 5, 2014.  Settlement class members can file claims online at https://www.heelclassactionsettlement.com/claim/

Heel Homeopathic products reportedly covered by the settlement include, for example, Zeel, Traumeel, VertigoHeel, Neurexan, Nectadyn, Cerecomp, Luffeel,Viburcol, Oculoheel, Nervoheel, Vincheel, Galium Heel, Klimakheel, Spascupreel, Gastricumeel, Osteoheel, Gripp-Heel, Hormheel, Hepeel, Pens-Heel, etc.  Additional eligible Heel products are listed on the Heel Homeopathic settlement website.

The Heel Homeopathic class action lawsuit settlement will reportedly provide a settlement fund of $1 million to pay, inter alia, class member claims, class counsel’s attorneys fees and expenses, and incentive awards to the class representative.  Class members who file claims can recover up to a $25 refund for each product purchased, subject to a maximum of $125 per class member (for those who provide proof of purchase) or $100 (for those who do not provide proof of purchase).

    I think it’s pretty sad that anyone would start a class action lawsuit against Heel. Sure they use lactose in much of their product, perhaps thats where their bad karma came from, lactose is the product of cruelty and rape. Perhaps if all of their remedies were lactose free, the results would be better, I only use the lactose free Traumeel. People have attested to myself at the health food store I work at that Neurexan is “effective” and she spoke with conviction, Traumeel has helped my joints and aches & pains a lot. Heel just needs to stop using lactose and get back to business in North America. Perhaps the americans in this lawsuit prefer invasive aggressive drugs instead.
