Does anyone know if any similar action has been taken against Honda for the engine blocks cracking in the 2006-2008 civics? I’m curious because I recently went through this nightmare, and Honda only offers a warranty extension on this defect rather than a recall. The engine blocks are cracking, causing the coolant to leak and overheat the engine which can also (as in my case) result in various parts melting, i.e. spark plugs, engine coils, dipstick. I’ve been researching online, and from what I have found, the engine blocks were manufactured with less aluminum and as a result they are less durable and end up cracking. Please let me know if you have any information. Thanks.
Is you car a Civic Hybrid? If so, “great, now I have something else to look forward to.”
Now we may get somewhere. The bad MPG was a side effect of the faulty battery; I said that that all along. A jury will make the decision at the trial not the judge.
