U.S. Bank Force-Placed Flood Insurance Coverage Class Action Lawsuit

U.S. Bank Borrowers File Class Action Lawsuit Against U.S. Bank Over Alleged Force-Placed Flood Insurance Coverage.

A class action lawsuit has reportedly been filed against U.S. Bank, N.A. and U.S. Bank Home Mortgage (“U.S. Bank” or “Defendant”) in the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota (styled Lacroix v. U.S. Bank, N.A., et al., Class Action Case No. 11-cv-3236) alleging, among other things, that U.S. Bank improperly charged and billed plaintiffs mortgage escrow account for “force-placed” flood insurance coverage in excess of his loan balance since this amount of coverage was allegedly not required under the National Flood Insurance Act, according to a U.S. Bank Force-Placed Flood Insurance Coverage class action lawsuit news report.

The U.S. Bank Force-Placed Flood Insurance Coverage class action lawsuit reportedly asserts claims for alleged breach of contract, breach of duty of good faith and fair dealing, breach of fiduciary duty and unjust enrichment.

I just noticed that I’ve been charged coverage in excess of my loan by USSA insurance. My house is worth 185k but they’ve been charging me coverage for $305k, personal belongings, around 165k, n other strange charges of 75k for some kind of non existent Un attached property or something odd.
Now I’m wondering how many other strange policies are out there are in excess of the cost of the house. I’d like to see how this similar lawsuit plays out. Breach of trust indeed! Ive been reading online and former insurance employees admit to unfair practices because they had quotas and families to feed! America is definitely not land of the free!

Hi , 6 months after US bank , MERS , Bank of America , LaSalle Bank foreclosed and took our je but my servicer was EMC as we were transfered to Chase from Bear Stearns in 2008 when they went down
With the entire mess of Mortgages, pseudo Modifications were to help Americans with hardships . We must have signed up fifty or more
Times but never approved . They stole our home showing many who
Benefitted from the sale At auction !
That was May 2012 ! Six months later I received a letter showing forced
Placed insurance ! We were literally appauled but filed a claim under on or two of the endorsements being if your home was sold under fraudulent circumstances that have come to be discoveries ! Assurant out of the blue calls to cancel the claim but Chase sends another endorsement that we are the only ones who can cancel such a policy . We were told it was for fire and they too would refund it to our escrow account ! Wish I knew who to call at Chase about an escrow account there in would lie our very large down payment. I know the whole world family included wants me to move on but this is the second trip I have taken with these ruthless thieves and I intend to never stop until I find whom , how and why as well as where our money went and when our home will be returned ! Colorado Attorneys and they know who they are get ready because you can’t keep a good man down !!!
