Target Customer Files Privacy Class Action Lawsuit Complaint Against Target Over Data Theft Security Breach.

Target Corporation (“Target” or “Defendant”) has reportedly been named as a defendant in a class action lawsuit in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California (styled Jennifer Kirk v. Target Corporation, Case No. CV 13-5885) alleging, among other things, that Target shoppers who used their credit and debit cards at Target stores may have been subject of a data breach that may have included customers names, credit card numbers, card expiration dates and CVV codes, according to the Target Data Theft Security Breach & Privacy class action lawsuit complaint.

The proposed Target Data Theft Security Breach & Privacy class action lawsuit is reportedly brought on behalf of the following putative class members:

“All persons who used credit or debit cards at Target Corporation stores in California and whose personal and/or financial information was breached during the period from on or about November 27 to on or about December 15, 2013.”
