We bought our Armada new and had issues with the window shaking and the brakes fluttering from the beginning. We were told after bringing it back in that the roters were turned and nothing else could be done in 2006. They said they saw nothing wrong. The problem happens intermitently and the Armada does not stop. We have to turn off the Armada and turn it back on in order to get the brakes to act correctly. The dealership I bought it from is no longer in business and Nissan Corp. records do not show us bringing the problem to Nissans attention in 2008. Nissan now says it is out of warranty. Nothing was done when it was in warranty. Along with 5 recalls on the Armada and 1 that hasn’t been taken care of, I would like the Armada fixed.

I have had similar problems with my 2004 Nissan Titan. I will be driving and it happens mostly on grades (inclined/declined) hills. I will be driving down a hill applying my brakes to maintain a certain speed then all of the sudden the truck loses power to everything. All of the lights on the dash light up and i have to through the truck into neutral and restart it in time in order to regain power to the truck and the brakes.

My mom has a 2006 QX56 and has been experiencing frequent brake issues for a while now. It’s really scary because she commutes from Wesley Chapel, FL- Brandon, FL at night for work, and her brakes just give out whenever they feel like it. However, if she pulls over, turn the truck off, and turn it back on, the brakes start operating again. She has contacted Infiniti about the issue and the claim that they’ve never heard of such problem and they want her to pay for a diagnostic test. Crazy part is that she purchased the truck brand new, experienced the problem a few months after she got the truck, they “fixed it,” and now she’s having more frequent issues with it.

I have a 2005 Nissan Armada my husband was driving speed limit in FEB 2015.when he got home he told me the brakes went out he pulled over cut the car off and then he cut it back on proceeding driving again worked a min then went out again i didnt think anything of it so i said did you check brake fluid the roters the pads everything we did and everything was fine.we had to go somewhere it was on reg street all of a sudden brakes went out .if we would of been on a highway and going 70 miles an hour i am sure we are someone is going to get killed are badley hurt.i cant go speed limit because of not knowing when the brakes are going to malfunction.i have 2 kids and i am putting them in danger because of nissan manufactures or who ever is responsible.it will be sad if problem isin’t fixed before it causes a life .it should not be coming out of our pocket to have to fix the problem if mechanics aren’t sure of what to look for.its exspensive enough to repair what is not a recall as it is.so they need to own up to it and reimburse people first so they can go fix the problem.i hope its not to late to solve the problem before someone gets hurt if they already havent. own a 2005 nissan

I have 2005 Armada LE and the same symptom described here by others happened to me and my wife. The truck was going around 30-40 MPH and when we applied brake, we heard noise and grinding sound, looking like we dont have any hydraulic or pressure, ABS/VDC/Brake light came on. We called local nissan dealer and they gave us run around. They even told me this is the first time they heard such problem. The dealer is at 3776 West Colonial Drive, Orlando, FL 32808 and Phone:(407) 297-7333.
Other site and the Class Action mentioned of code C1179, the delta stroke sensor is inside the Brake Power Booster. I wonder if anyone had changed the entire Brake Power Booster, after market part number : 53-3001, and have resolved this problem. And if the part is changed, did you have to bring the truck back to the dealer for software reset or reprogrammed?

Please contact me about the 2006 Nissan Armada break issue. Having the same problem. Do not feel safe driving, Nissan needs to find a solution for the safety of everyone. God forbid, an accident occurs because of their negligence.

We also have had this happen, several time a month. Grinding noise, loss of breaking power, turn it off to reset. I also don’t want a $20 settlement, I want it fixed by Nissan at their expense. How can this not be a factory recall event? Shame on Nissan. Cant believe there is a settlement on this that doesn’t require the manufacturer to fix the issue at their cost.

me and my wife bought a 2006 armada in august 2014, i did not really drive it that much
but last month march 2015 ive got the same experience as everybody, i wall pulling to sams club parking lot and suddenly i lost the brakes and i felt a grinding that was so scary and thank god i didnt hit that truck was passing, then when i was leaving sams club the problem went away, i wasnt sure what the problem because i never experienced that, then last april 20 2015 right on the red light i got the same problem i was around 20mil/hr, i went straight to the mechanic, they said this problem need to be fixed with NISSAN DEALERSHIP and they cant do anything unfortunately, i scheduled an appointment with CROWN NISSAN for fri 24 2015 , all they did its REPROGRAMMING and im still waiting because im pretty sure this will not fix the issue according to people experience.
