A class action lawsuit has been filed against Conagra Foods, Inc. (“Conagra Foods” or “Conagra” or “Defendant”) in the United States District Court for the Central District of California (styled Robert Briseno v. ConAgra Foods, Inc., Class Action Case No. 11-CV-05379) alleging, among other things, that ConAgra sells cooking oils under the Wesson brand name, such as Canola Oil, Vegetable Oil, Corn Oil and Best Blend (collectively “Wesson Oils”) and labels and markets the Wesson Oils as “100% Natural” when the Wesson Oils are allegedly made from genetically modified plants or genetically modified organisms, according to the Conagra Foods Wesson Oil class action lawsuit complaint.

We must now be considered another injured party. We have two large containers of Wesson Canola Oil in the kitchen cupboard. We have been using this product for years as part of our NATURAL healthy nutrition plan. We are angry to discover that Wesson products are derived from genetically modified crops.
I am hoping this case gooes against Wesson because there is need for precedent as it pertains to GM foods/ingredients. Basically ANY processed food with ANY ingredient derived from soybeans, canola, or corn (that aren’t organic) will contain GMOs. Soooo many foods in this category are wrongly labeled “natural” — blatantly not the case.
I’m disgusted that we keep getting lied to. I try to by all naural products for my family & always bought wesson to cook & bake with. I’m furious I have consumed it and feed it to my family!!! Someone needs to take responsability!!!!! These companies are reckless
