I want in on this lawsuit, my 08′ impala ltz eats tires and has made a “clunking rattle” from the right rear wheel for 20,000mile and one can figure out why. One day I’m going to be driving down the road and my wheel is going to fly off!

I have the 2008 Impala with the same problem, no way to adjust the rear alignment and tires down to the cords on the inside making it very unsafe to drive. During winter it became unsafe to drive on snow or ice because rear end wants to move around. I purchased an aftermarket kit and new rear tires and fixed it myself for personal safety. Chevy really should address this defect on those who are having the problem.

I have a 2010 Impala with same alignment problem. But mine is front and rear both. GM has not fixed the problem. Replaced 2 tires at 30k the other 2 was not to bad. Looks as though I may need to. Taking car in today for a recall and alignment check. New tires are wearing on inside. When new tires were put on, an alignment was done also.

Impala owners I feel your pain. They want us to buy American made cars and remain loyal to the brand but its ashame how they are treating us. I am taking this to social media. I am starting a website about the Impalas and i will display your frustrations on social media and other outlets. Lets be heard. This is not about Republican or Democrat, lets come together. I will ask for pictures and videos so we can post this to a website. Posting our frustrations is good but we need to get nasty

Would like to know status or outcome of lawsuit. I own a 2008 Impala SS and I’m having the same problems.

There are so many problems. Chevy is not going to address the problem. You need to get alignment bolts. If you’re experiencing front tire wear, its probably your hub assembly. I know because I have done all the work myself.
had I paid a mechanic to the work, I would be around 1000 to fix this mess

Just took my 08 Impala back to the dealer that sold me the car and explained to them how I have had to replace the rear tires 3 times in 2 years. Explained to the service manager about the spindle rods and all the problems people are having. Long story short, got totally stone-walled by the dealer and the

I did the same thing about a month ago. After doing research, I found out that the service bulletin that GM released never solved the problem. Apparently they reengineered the spindle rod, it was supposed to help with tire wear. As it turns out, that never helped the situation which made customers furious and outraged. GM has never really acknowledged the problem and those of us that own these vehicle are S.O.L. I suggest you do the repairs or sell the car. I can help if you need it

My sister was driving home in my 2008 Impala and the rear spindle rod broke, causing the passenger rear tire to go out of alignment and caused her to spin out at 60 and end up in the ditch. Now I can’t find a single replacement rear spindle rod to fix it and my car I just bought is on the side of the road.
